FAQ

Is Physiotherapy for me?

While it is well-known that physiotherapists treat injuries, increasing numbers of people are also turning to Physiotherapy because they want to take control of their health and stay well.

Physiotherapy extends from health promotion to injury prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, maintenance of functional mobility, chronic disease management, patient and caregiver education and occupational health.

Everyone can benefit from Physiotherapy whether you are living with a chronic illness, recovering from an injury, or preparing for childbirth.

Will it hurt?

Depending on your condition, you may experience some discomfort during the treatment. However, our aim is always for you to leave our clinic in less pain and be more mobile than when you walked in.

How do I find the right therapist for me?

All our therapists are experienced and will work with you to achieve your goals by thoroughly assessing your condition and making a personalised program for you. We ensure that everything we do is geared towards achieving your goals.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

Physiotherapy can be your first option, so medical referral is not always necessary. We recommend that you get a referral if your insurance requires it for physiotherapy to be covered.

How long does each session last?

Each session typically last 45 minutes to ensure sufficient time for assessment and treatment.

How long will it take for me to feel better?

This really depends on your condition. If you are a post-operative patient, there is usually a set amount of time for that your surgical protocols require. Please check with your therapist and doctor to find out more.

How should I prepare/dress for my first appointment?

Bring any medical referral and investigation that you may have. Also, wear a comfortable loose fitting attire as you may need to expose the affected body part and do some exercises.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

For your first appointment, our therapist will perform a thorough examination of your condition through gathering history from you and a physical examination. After that, he/she will suggest to you a treatment plan oriented towards the goal that you establish with the therapist. After that, you will receive the treatment according to the plan and you may be given some exercises to do at home at the end of the session.

What are the payment options available?
