Each session typically last 45 minutes to ensure sufficient time for assessment and treatment.
Come 5 to 10 minutes earlier for your first session as registration is required
Do allocate extra time for your first session as your physiotherapist will assess your condition by understanding your health history and conducting an evaluation of your posture, muscle and joint motion and performance.
After which, your physiotherapist will provide a clinical diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care and discuss short and long-term goals.
Depending on the condition, treatment may include modalities such as clinical massage, shockwave therapy and electrical stimulation.
You may expect to home exercises and physical aids prescription if required.
This really depends on what your condition and your goal. Some minor conditions may only require one session while others need prolonged periods of care.
We suggest that you wear comfortable loose clothing as the area being treated may need to be exposed during treatment. For example, if you are being treated for your knee, wearing tight jeans is not advisable.
Physiotherapy can be your first option, so medical referral is not always necessary. We recommend that you get a referral if your insurance requires it for physiotherapy to be covered.
