Sports Physiotherapy Singapore
Sports injuries can happen without warning — a misjudged landing, an overloaded training week, or a single unguarded movement. At Elevate Physiotherapy, we assess the biomechanical factors that contributed to your injury, not just the site of pain, and build a rehabilitation plan that restores full function while reducing your risk of re-injury.
Common Injuries We Treat
● Knee injuries: ACL tears, meniscus injuries, runner’s knee
● Ankle sprains and chronic instability
● Shoulder injuries: rotator cuff strains, impingement
● Muscle strains: hamstring, quadriceps, calf
● Overuse injuries: shin splints, Achilles tendinopathy, IT band syndrome
As soon as possible. Early physiotherapy assessment (within the first 24–72 hours of injury) allows your physiotherapist to confirm the diagnosis, manage inflammation correctly and begin the rehabilitation process from the optimal starting point. Delaying treatment can allow compensatory movement patterns to develop, making full recovery take longer.
Recovery time varies considerably depending on the tissue involved and the severity of the injury. Mild muscle strains may resolve in 2–4 weeks with appropriate care. Ligament sprains and moderate muscle tears typically take 6–12 weeks. Complex injuries such as ACL reconstructions may require 9–12 months of structured rehabilitation before safe return to sport. Your physiotherapist will give you a realistic timeline at your initial assessment.
Radiofrequency therapy delivers targeted energy to deeper tissue layers to stimulate cellular repair, improve microcirculation and accelerate the body’s natural healing response. At Elevate, it is combined with clinical sports massage to treat both surface-level muscle damage and deeper tissue injury simultaneously, reducing total recovery time.
Yes. Physiotherapy plays a significant preventive role by identifying and correcting biomechanical risk factors — movement inefficiencies, muscle imbalances and poor technique — before they result in injury. If you have a history of recurring injuries, a preventive physiotherapy assessment can identify vulnerabilities in your movement patterns and help you train more safely.
Sports injury physiotherapy sessions at Elevate are $200 per session. Your initial assessment is included in your first appointment. The number of sessions required depends on your injury — your physiotherapist will outline a treatment plan with a session estimate at your first appointment.
